new idea for morphsuits

we have chosen to go for a black morphsuit instead of a white one as we dont have to follow the pyth completely and have decided as a cheaper morphsuit to go for that and wear the suit over it and the red tie to stand out.
we have chosen to go for black morphsuit as it is £25 cheaper than the white morph.

This is the trailer for man of steel which is about superman. The trailer starts off with a strange man floating in the water. it then fades to black whith a man with a beard looking drowned then flashes white , then pencils  then a and drawing something, it then cuts to a younger male running then sitting in a corner crying leaving an enigma for the audience. The action then kicks in with a buss flying off of something and going down to crash into the water, it shows people drowning in the bus but then a younger teen at the end of a bus leaving the audience to think that he has saved everyone on the bus. superman is then introduced as the hero to the audience leaving them in wonder in what he will do to saves everyones life as a steoertypical superhero.

the hobbit 2012

at the beggining of this trailer it shows two characters at a long shot with the older charqcter higher up and the younge character lower down showing the dominance of the characters. it the fades to black with an older male sitting down in a chair as the camera pans around him with a serious look , indicating to the audience the type of genre of the film. the trailer then begins to show the main character with a few clips of the main character looking like he is busy and adding comedy to the film taking the seriousness of the trailer away, this is the point that the trailer speeds up and shows lots of different characters then the speed of the trailer slows down and gets back to being tense. the trailer cuts to he map of the area they are in with a 3d  date saying next december, which fades to gandalf in a dark area showing the audience that he could be in trouble as he is away fromall the bright colours from the start and away in the shadows of a different area.
The action soons kicks in as gandalf is in a fighting scene with an unknown enemy, which cuts to other character getting involved with a big battle.

looper

This trailer is about a assasin called a looper who dont lose their target and kill them. when this looper is faced with his target as his target turns out to be himself and the older version of himself from the future trying to save him.

at the beggining of the trailer there is a low bass to add a tense affect to leave theaudience guessing what this trailer wil be about. then the younger males starts talking about how that the opposite man is him in the future.there is then a fade to black as it shows clips to leave the audience guessing throughout the trailer. there is a constant low bass through the trailer idenifying the genre of the film.

in mine and wills trailer this year we would like to use a variety of shots and not limit ourselves to basic boring shots.
EWS (Extreme Wide Shot)The view is so far from the subject that he isn't even visible. Often used as an establishing shot.

we would like to use many of these shots but not to over do it.

film treatment

the idea for our film is to create a horror film about a real myth called slender-man. there are many different names for the myth slender man such as the tall man or him. the film we decided by taking a questionairre will be called faded delusion, we chose this film title because we believe it adds mystery to othe trailer and will leave people guessing but doesnt give much away about the film.

the film will start with the main character investigating people dissappearing but starts to get to involved with his work as he starts to question families intensly upsetting them. he starts to investigate areas he shouldnt be which doesnt do him any favours as he begins to start getting the blame for being the mysterious hoax of 'slender-man'. the detective will then spot slender-man but isnt afraid of the myth and doesnt knows his true power and what he is capable of and is really eager to get an interview with the slender-man. he then spots the slender-man getting closer and closer to him but only get a glimpse of him everytime he turns his head. as he is running from the police he dissappears as the slender-man chatches him. at the end there will be a long distance shot of the slender-man standing showing the audience that he still exsists.

Location ideas

For the location of the trailer we are going to have to find a location which is very busy as we will be filming , also an area with good lighting as we are in winter now and lighting might be come a bit of an issue but classic borrow films the worst happens when it is darker so when we do film we will need to make the most of it as out trailer will be half of the characters to introduce them when the slender man is around and then we will film during the day to introduce the story line to the audience. We were thinking of using the woods in Ashtead or Leatherhead for maybe a chase scene and then for introducing the detective we want to use somebody's house to use as a news room , to do a report of sudden missing people.

Soundtrack ideas

When it comes to the soundtrack of our trailer me and will where thinking of using slow tempo music with a low bass and maybe heartbeats included. We don't want anything with a high tempo sounding like and action/adventure. We decided to do this because we are doing a horror film and horror films are normally slow temp to make it tense to attract the target audience, if someone liked horror films and it didn't intrigue then because the soundtrack was fast tempo and didn't make the trailer scary then the target audience will not be attracted to the trailer. The music needs to suit the genre of the trailer and me and will , will achieve this by doing more research on trailer such as paranormal activity , silent hill and other horror films.

this trailer is the type of trailer i would like to make for our film faded delusion
although it not being the same concept as i believe that a 'killer santa' is a terrible idea.

 

film idea

after talking with will we decided to try to make the trailer as tense and scary as we can by saying ' based of a true story/ making the audience feel like this could actually happen to them. we believe by doing this the audience will get a better experience and will want to come watch out film

slenderman

As will was walking home he decided to take a picture of a shadow of what looked like slender man but in fact he found out in the morning it was a fence and gate. this then brings up an issue that we might have with filming , is we need to film at the correct times to get the lighting spot on.

skyfall trailer

james bond is a highly successful branded film which has show to be huge successes in the past. its new edition to the collection skyfall recently released in cinemas has shown to be popular and talked about much with the lead actor playing James bond Daniel Craig being highly credited.
the trailer starts of at a past pace quickly flashing into James Bond holding a pistol walking through what seems to be an empty house searching for someone starting off the first enigma for the audience. it then cuts to him in a car chase scene with one of the cars turning onto its side again quickly indicating to the audience the genre of the film. a classic scene is a fight on top of a train whilst the train is travelling at a fast pace in a exotic location showing a fight scene as the trailer does early on. this trailer  shows a lot of landscape  early on then showing James |Bond being shot off a bridge the under water appearing not to be breathing which leaves another enigma. overall the trailers pace starts off slow then slows down with the involvement of M played by dame judi dench  with many more enigmas in this. the villain is shown later on in the trailer where James bond has been captured.

comedy trailer

happy Gilmore is a about a reject hockey player with anger problems who has an incredible drive for golf and can hit the ball 400yards+ which is played by Adam sandler (1996)
the trailer starts of panning around a fancy room with a few trophies in and then slowly zooms into a golf trophy. it then cuts to happy Gilmore driving of the tee in a hockey jersey. it then cuts to a scene of happy acting very angry smashing his putter into the ground in frustration following then anger trend it then shows happy slamming someone into the barrier in a game of hockey. the trailer then stats to set the scene that happys grandmother is going to lose her house unless they can raise a large amount of money to pay of debts. it is then when happy discovers his amazing shot can make him some money when he places a bet with the house removal workers.the way the trailer indicates to the audience that it is a comedy is the way happy gilmore shows his anger and the way the stereotypes of golf are there then you have the unconventional golf player happy Gilmore.

The Bourne Legacy Official Trailer #1

the trailer starts off slow paced but then as the trailer gets on the pace picks up and the action starts with cliche explosions  it also starts off with dim music with the transition showing a man who has been beaten up and injured as a man says 'whats your name' as the beaten man replies 'kennith kitson' it the cuts out to the next part of the trailer. the next shot of the trailer is the same shot as the first just closer up as the mysterious tension builds he asks him here he is from then it cuts out again. then the mysterious man asks him if he in committed to the programme as he responds 'yes sir' it fades out slowly using the same lined transition throughout the trailer so far.
the trailer then picks up showing a stereotypical action trailer with it being fast paced , with lots of fighting and explosions. 

shaun of the dead tralier

shaun of the dead is the concept of a normal zombie horror with the twist of comedy by focusing on the main characters journey with his girlfriend and average boring life.
the trailer initially shows the everyday normal life of Shaun and his everyday activities , also diving right into the humor by showing a lower angled shot of a pair of legs with a zombie type groan already suggesting the type of theme this film is going to be. a narration runs over the trailer adding its dramatic affect. to add more affect the film then introduces the zombie Apocalypse then cuts to a footage reporting the crisis. the humor is then reintroduced  when it then shows ' in times of crisis a hero must rise from his sofa' also after this it shows the main character fighting through the zombie with various weapons and objects.  

Horror convention and cliches and different types of horror.

There are different types of horror like mainstream horror and an example of this is jeepers creepers also there is vampire like Dracula ,zombie like 28 days later , Asian horror the ring goreography like saw and slasher Halloween  there are a lot of cliches in horror films like someone always dying mostly the females who is portrayed as weak. Another cliches is glimpses of fear like the audience knows that the villain is about or seeing a ghost in the mirror behind then turning around around and it has gone, and jumpy moments e.g. creepy music which to the audience indicates what is going on in the film as something big will happen.

The is always a bathroom scene where either someone washes their faces in the sink and then pops their face up to someone behind them in a mirror. The places that people are killed are also cliches like the basement scenes which is a creepy lonely area or even in the woods and places when they are alone. in my and wills idea we will be looking at these clliches to use in our trailer and trying to adapt some to our tralier

ideas for slenderman costume

me and will have thought up how we are going to put together slenderman as a character, first of all we will need to buy a morphsuit as slenderman has no features for his face and we feel that this would be a good way to make slender man look like the legend. by doing some research i have found out the morph suit will cost around £30.



once we have the morph suit we need to have a suit to put over, white shirt , red tie , black blazer , smart black trousers and smart black shoes. we already have the expensive side of the costume for slender as will has a black suit the only thing we need to buy is a red tie.

angels and demons poster

the line ' from the author of the davinci code' influences the audience to watch this film because its from the author of a very successful book. this therefore suggests to the audience that it will most probably be a good film.
the background of this poster is very dark and has storm clouds above tom hanks the main actor in the film this suggests that bad things are going to happen within the film. Also there is a bit of sunlight coming out of the angels side and mostly darkness around the demon.
tom hanks is used to advertise the film because he is a very well known actor which means if the audience like tom hanks they might like him in this film.
tom hanks with the angel and the demon over the top of each shoulder are the biggest parts of the poster showing the importance to each character in the film with tom hanks being the main role he is the biggest on the poster meaning he is more importance in the film as he is also well known. The Mise-en-scene in this poster shows the type of character that he is in a suit and means business.

slenderman is a old myth about a character that appears in pictures and the people in the pictures dissappear. slender man is a creature that has no face , a suit and more than two arms. this is how slender man goes about what he does:

*Slenderman will find interest in a victim for reasons unknown
* It would then contact the victim, if it is a child, presenting itself as friendly
* The adults he stalks have a common trait: they have all been through a terrible tragedy in their life, even if the tragedy was made by Slenderman directly
* If an adult, it would stalk the victim for long amounts of time causing what is known as "Slender sickness" causing massive paranoia, nose bleeds, nightmares, hallucinations appearing to only the sick person, and many other dangerous symptoms.
* Eventually, it would abduct the victim into nearby forest, where they would be killed.
* In 'messy' cases, it may remove evidence of its existence by causing fire of their home, place of work, or school

The Slender Man or men, have appeared everywhere from Japan, Norway, and America to name a growing few.

harry potter poster

This is a low angled shot of voldemort this evil villain in the film looking down with an evil look of disgust on his face. this also gives the audience the idea that he is a main character certainly if you have seen the films before as harry potter is well known then you know this is voldemort and he is a main character 

This gives off the impression of a horror/ magical film because of the wand in his hand also he doesn’t look human.

The colour in the background is black with voldemort appearing from the darkness suggesting that he is a dark and evil character with his wand reaching out to the audience. he is also the biggest thing on the poster show how important he is in the film.

This is low angled shot of harry potter and Dumbledore which gives the effect to the audience that they will be fighting together and for each other.

This looks like an action/adventure non-fiction because of the wands in the hands of the characters.

The colours used are quite mellow suggesting bad things will happen in this film.

The title of the film harry potter and the half-blood prince appears at the top in big writing with harry potter the biggest font suggesting he is the biggest part in the film to the audience.

harry and dumbledore are right in the center of the poster and are the biggest feature on the poster , this  means they have big importance in the film

one missed call poster

 'what will it sound like when you die?' - this slogan on the poster is very appealing to the audience because it mentions death and it is a horror film.

the main picture is of a strange person holding a phone smiling with a person mouth screaming making the eyes and mouth this is good because it indicates that there will be people screaming.

the title is fairly big 'one missed call' with strange and mysterious writing with the color white and slight bits of red standing out for the audience.

the black background making the audience think that it will be a dark and mysterious film with the person on the phone coming out of the darkness making the audience feel that the person on the phone is the villian.

This is a close up shot of harry potter with a reflection of Dumbledore in his glasses.

This gives the audience think that the genre of the film is action/adventure with the dark lighting on the face makes it feel like a horror feel as well.

The dark colour with a slight blue tint gives the horror feel to the poster but also leaves a bit of mystery with Dumbledore in the glasses reflection.

The title of the film HP6 appears in the bottom right corner. This means the makers think that it’s so well known that people known that HP stands for harry potter.

The tag line ‘once again I must ask too much of you, harry’. This suggests that the main character harry will be in a tough situation get again in this film.
